Michael Beaumont
Michael Beaumont is the national chairperson of ActionSA, the South African political party founded by Herman Mashaba. He is one of the party's most prominent public voices, regularly issuing statements and responding to media on its behalf. Beaumont has served as ActionSA's spokesperson on political and electoral matters, including disputes with the Democratic Alliance (DA) over proportional representation candidate lists ahead of the 2026 local government elections. He has defended ActionSA's candidate selection policies, under which party PR lists are ranked after elections according to ward candidates' performance, as more transparent than processes used by rival parties. Beaumont has also been vocal in defending ActionSA-led municipal administrations, including the City of Tshwane under Executive Mayor Nasiphi Moya, against criticism from opposition figures such as DA mayoral candidate Cilliers Brink.
