Louis Boshoff

Louis Boshoff is a South African legal and policy analyst associated with AfriForum, a civil rights organisation. He serves as head of research and policy at AfriForum, where he focuses on constitutional matters, governance issues and public policy analysis. Boshoff has been particularly active in scrutinising government legislation and regulatory frameworks, with a focus on their constitutional implications and practical implementation challenges. He has played a prominent role in AfriForum's engagement with the National Health Insurance (NHI) legislation, analysing its legal foundations, fiscal sustainability and potential impact on South Africa's healthcare system. His work involves preparing legal submissions, policy briefs and public commentary on behalf of the organisation. Boshoff regularly represents AfriForum in public discourse on matters of governance, service delivery and constitutional rights. He holds qualifications in law and public policy, which inform his analytical approach to legislative and regulatory developments.
