A comment from one of the judges: "Ziyanda is undoubtedly a great contributor to both the company she works for and the profession to which she belongs. She has an impressive profile having been recently appointed to the 14 member board of one of South Africa’s largest professional services organisations. We absolutely loved her attitude of breaking down the unfair presumption of incompetence that the SA corporate environment places on black female professionals. Furthermore, we were impressed by her participation in assisting the disadvantaged in her hometown through the Ubuntu Pathways NGO…"

Ziyanda Ntshona: "I am excited and honoured to be recognised by my colleagues, not only in the legal profession, but across the various professions. This award affirms the ability of black women to challenge and change stereotypes. I hope it inspires other black women to always reach for the stars."
