The Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs has decided to extend the time period of the general authorisation relating to subsection 21(j) of the NWA as published in section 3 of the Government Notice 399 of March 2004, for a further period until 3 September 2013, subject to any change to legislation regarding water use authorisations.

We have noted that the notice appears to refer to the incorrect government notice (i.e. Government Notice 399) and have contacted the Department of Water Affairs for clarification. We will update this newsflash upon further response from the Department.
