And it gets better: Michelle Kekana's debut novel, The Fragile Mental Health of Strong Women, took top honours in the Fiction category. Accepting the award, Michelle said: ‘Learning how to read felt like cracking code. All those squiggly lines that didn't mean anything suddenly had stories, had people, had feelings, had worlds that I hadn't experienced before.’
