The Statistician-General, of South Africa, Dr Pali Lehohla will release the ‘Education Series Volume III: Educational Enrolment and Achievement, 2016’ report at a media briefing to be held on Tuesday, 7 February 2017

The thematic report provides an overview of the status of the South African education system. Using the Community Survey (CS) 2016 data, information is presented on access to education, educational attainment and intergenerational educational mobility. The report includes the participation of learners at the primary/secondary and post-secondary phases, the number of high school and post-secondary graduates, and historical trends that compare various census data points to the CS 2016.
