Mr. Ronald Lamola (MP), Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, has been elected Vice President of the Asian African Legal Consultative Organization during its
61st Annual meeting in Bali, Indonesia.
The Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization has come a long way since its inception in 1956 as the Asian Legal Consultative Committee (ALCC) after the
Bandung Conference held in Indonesia in April 1955. With its objectives to serve as an advisory body to Member States in international law and as a forum for Asian-
African cooperation in legal matters of common concern, the Organization has been bringing nations together for over 60 years.
