An active manhunt is in progress as security officers and SAPS members searching the surrounding area for the remaining suspect.

The latest incident is a clear indication that our Schools country-wide are and remain soft spots and breeding grounds for crime and criminals.

The blame must be squally and fair drop at the doorstep of the Department of Basic Education, country-wide.                                                                                        

Just the other day, the SAPS OPENED an attempted murder case after a learner was shot at Dowerglen High School, and one person was arrested and charged for murder. Now, this today. .

This is a clear indication the Government, in general and the Department of Basic Education, in particular just don’t take serious the safety of our children whilst they are at School, even when they leave the School premises.

The Minister of Finance, yesterday made his maiden Budget Speech, and nowhere did he made mention of an amount set aside to make our Schools a crime – free zone.

Privileged Schools, which are predominantly, White and are  situated in Predominantly White Suburbs are to a certain extend exonerated, from this menace and danger.

The Minister of Basic Education, must not be left to have a good night sleep. In fact she must have sleepless nights until such a time she realise that she will be kept accountable for each and every injury let alone deaths in our places of learning.
