The SACP is inviting the media to a photo opportunity and a post-meeting press conference of its Annual Augmented Central Committee (AACC). The AACC is extended to additional delegates representing Party districts and provincial executive committees over and above Provincial Secretaries and Chairpersons. The meeting is also extended to additional delegates representing the Young Communist League of South Africa over and above its National Secretary and Chairperson.

The AACC will take place from Wednesday to Friday, 14-16 December 2016 at Sierra Hotel (previously Randburg Towers Hotel), corner Republic and Main Road, Randburg, Johannesburg.

Post-meeting press conference: Friday 16 December 2016

Time: 12:30pm.

The both the photo op and the press conference will take place at the venue of the meeting. The press conference will be addressed by SACP National Officials led by the General Secretary Cde Blade Nzimande.  

The AACC serves as the Party’s Annual Strategic Plenary Session with the responsibility to draw up a programme of action for the following year. The meeting will discuss South Africa’s political situation, the state of the Tripartite Alliance and the conditions of the working class in relation to other classes and strata. It will finalise constitutive principles in preparation for the 14th Party National Congress scheduled to take place 10-15 July 2016.
