SA Tourism will no longer pursue a proposal to ink a controversial R900-million sponsorship deal with English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur FC.
On Thursday, Minister Patricia de Lille said the SA Tourism board agreed with her advice not to proceed with the proposed deal.

She said that "the use of public funds must be carefully considered" in the current economic climate.
