The DA in Gauteng shares the outrage and frustration of residents of the Rand West City Local Municipality as they are forced to endure multiple community-debilitating service delivery failures by the local coalition government of ANC Mayor Gladys Khoza.

Under the incompetence of Mayor Khoza, residents have seen their essential right to human dignity eroded by blockages in the municipal sewerage system, refuse remaining uncollected, and electrical repairs made impossible by a diesel shortage for municipal vehicles.

These service delivery failures expose the lie that the ANC in government cares about the dignity of South Africans. Our country’s people, especially the most vulnerable, depend on clean communities and a clean government.

The DA will continue holding the local municipality to account and fighting for the right of residents to live with dignity in communities that are safe and clean.
