The South African Communist Party's 13th Congress Central Committee will be holding its 17th Plenary Session since it was elected in July 2012. The meeting will take place from Friday to Sunday 26 to 28 August 2016 in Kempton Park. This is the first meeting of the Party's Central Committee after the 3 August local government elections.
The SACP invites the media to a photo opportunity and post-meeting press conference to be addressed by the General Secretary Blade Nzimande, First Deputy General Secretary Jeremy Cronin and Second Deputy General Secretary Solly Mapaila, who will together be leading the Party's national officials in addressing the media on key outcomes of the meeting.
The photo opportunity will be held on the first day of the meeting,
