South Africa's government said on Monday that the regulated petrol pump price would rise by up to R3.33 a litre from October 7, while the wholesale diesel price will rise by up to R3.24 a litre.

The country's fuel prices are adjusted monthly due to factors including global oil prices and the rand exchange rate.
