The DA in the Western Cape welcomes the appointment of Lorraine Botha as the new Chief Whip of the DA Western Cape Provincial Parliament (WCPP) Caucus. Lorraine will take over from Mireille Wenger who served in the position since 2019.
Lorraine, who will officially take over the duties of Chief Whip on Monday, has been a member of the WCPP since 2014 and is currently a member of the DA whippery. Over the past 8 years she served the people of the Western Cape with distinction as Chairperson of the Standing Committees on Local Government, Premier and Education.
I wish to congratulate the incoming Chief Whip Lorraine Botha on her appointment and wish her well as she takes on this new role.
