Industry organisation Business Unity South Africa (Busa) will be hosting the Busa Business Economic Indaba 2026 on December 1 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

Hosted under the theme of “Appreciating Our Assets”, this Indaba will highlight that South Africa’s economic future depends on how the country leverages its strengths, addresses its challenges and turns opportunities into action.

President Cyril Ramaphosa will be the keynote speaker, sharing his perspective on South Africa’s economic outlook, national priorities and the opportunities to unlock inclusive growth and accelerate the country’s economic potential.

The event features a fireside chat reflecting on the insights and outcomes of the B20 and G20 Sherpa meetings one year later.

There will also be breakaway sessions where discussants will be focusing on the trading routes within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the impact of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), infrastructure financing, the impact of geopolitics on global trade systems and equipping South Africa’s youth with skills, opportunities and pathways to employment in a rapidly evolving economy.

“The Busa Business Economic Indaba 2026 brings business, government and key economic stakeholders together to challenge conventional thinking, strengthen partnerships and identify practical solutions that accelerate inclusive growth,” the organisation says.
