INJEJE yabeNGUNI Council's Executive Assembly held deliberations over the weekend where a variety of resolutions were taken. Our council recieved a letter from INdunankulu Phumlani kaMfeka wherein he raised that the Executive Assembly now needs to be led by a new Ndunankulu. INduna stated that he has led INJEJE since its inception 7 years ago and that if it is to breed new young leaders it is necessary for him to give another the reigns of leading INJEJE thus inculcating a culture of leadership growth and change. This was highly contentious as iNdunankulu has been a source of strength, wisdom and knowledge for iziNduna zeNJEJE and our members across the country, continent and indeed the diaspora.

Under the leadership of INdunankulu uMfeka, the way in which regiments have been viewed has changed as our councils unconventional approach to issues affecting our members and abeNguni at large has resuscitated consciousness around native unity amongst people of the country and continent. There is far too much that can be stated about iNduna uMfeka, however after much persuasion, the Executive Assembly agreed on allowing iNduna uMfeka to become iNduna of the Elders Council of INJEJE and allow whomever the EA elects to lead INJEJE as uNdunankulu. The Executive Assembly members each expressed their personal growth due to the influence of INduna uMfeka and hence in his honor we have placed his praises at the bottom of the statement as they speak for themselves. On behalf of all our members, iziNduna, supporters and allies we say Siyathokoza Mzingeli omkhulu,

The Executive Assembly was unanimous in electing INkosi Mbhengi II kaBonginkosi kaMandlakayise kaQiyana kaMatshana kaNxazonke kaMbhengi I kaMhlongo of the Phuzukubona Royal Palace of eLangeni Kingdom to take over the reigns as uNdunankulu of INJEJE yabeNGUNI Council as per a motion raised by iNduna uMfeka. Our council is confident that oweLanga will together with the Executive Assembly lead INJEJE in the manner and fashion envisioned on its inception. Both INdunankulu Mhlongo and iNduna uMfeka will be working closely in administrating the transition.

In welcoming iNkosi uMbhengi as leader of INJEJE we say;

Wena weLanga

Wena weLanga

Bayede!

Issued by Injeje yabe Nguni Council
