The Department of Employment and Labour (DEL) has announced increases to the national minimum wage that will come into effect from 1 March 2021. These increases follow the recommendations made by the National Minimum Wage Commission in late 2020.

The DEL also announced increases to learnership allowances and to the minimum wages for employees in the contract cleaning sector and wholesale and retail sector.
