The disciplinary enquiry instituted by the African National Congress Youth League against Comrade Lehlogonolo Masoga has been concluded. The following is the outcome of the disciplinary proceedings:
• The National Disciplinary Committee found Cde. Lehlogonolo Masoga guilty for violating the Disciplinary Code of Conduct under grave offences and serious offences.
• Cde. Lehlogonolo was charged and found guilty with contravening the following offences:
o Grave Offences
§ Sec. 2.2.1 (b) - Creating divisions within the ranks of the ANC Youth League
§ Sec. 2.2.1 (c) - Impeding the proper functioning of the organisation
§ Sec. 2.2.1. (g) - Engaging in an act that that is calculated to undermine the effectiveness of the organisation.
o Serious Offences
§ Sec. 3.2.8 - Behaving in such a way as to provoke serious divisions and breakdown of unity in the organisation.
§ Sec. 3.2.10. - Engaging in organised factional activity that goes outside the recognised norms of free debate inside the organisation and therefore threaten its unity.
The NDC found you guilty on Charges 1 and 3 and not guilty on Charge 2 in line with the Charge Sheet. The NDC duly considered an appropriate sanction and resolved that expulsion from the organization with immediate effect will be the appropriate sentence. Cde Lehlogonolo Masoga is therefore expelled from the ANC Youth League, and any appeals will be entertained through appropriate platforms as provided for in the Constitution and Rules of Disciplinary Procedures of the ANC Youth League.
