Consultancy Africa Intelligence consultant Deanne Goldberg presents a brief introduction to the principals of universal health coverage and the nature and content of the proposed South African National Health Insurance (NHI) Plan. Goldberg's paper (see below) further endeavours to integrate differing opinions regarding the plan held by major stakeholders, as well as discuss the potential benefits, challenges and critiques of implementing the NHI.
