The African National Congress (ANC) welcomes changes made by President Cyril Ramaphosa to the National Executive. The ANC believes that these changes affirm the resolution to decisively advance people’s interests and renew South Africa.

The President’s changes are in line with commitments made during the State of the Nation Address (SONA) and the Cabinet Lekgotla. It is motivated by the drive to accelerate service delivery to the people of South Africa.

We particularly welcome the appointment of Comrade Paul Mashatile as the Deputy President of the Republic. Comrade Paul Mashatile is a tried and tested leader who has diligently served the people of South Africa in various capacities.
