ActionSA wishes to convey its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of South Africa’s much beloved gospel artist, Solly Moholo, whose passing was announced to the nation earlier today. According to media reports, confirmed by Moholo’s family, the artist had been hospitalised last month after he fell ill while on tour in Botswana.

“Besides his family and other loved ones, the passing of Moholo deals a big blow to us at ActionSA and, no doubt, to millions of fellow South Africans who have become his loyal fans over the years. His death may mark the turning of an era, but the epoch defining ‘Ke latlhile Bobinza’ and many other of Moholo’s popular songs will remain with us forever”, declared President Herman Mashaba. “Solly Moholo’s name will forever remain inscribed in the list of our country’s unforgettable music legends for many years to come. We, at ActionSA, express our condolences to his family and wish them much unity and strength as they mourn him.”
