ActionSA congratulates SAICA and the Chartered Accountancy Profession on their outstanding performance in the recent global professional trust survey conducted by the internationally renowned agency, Edelman on behalf of Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW). The survey included over 1,300 participants from eight global markets, including England, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

This survey recognizes SAICA as the leading accounting institute globally, at a time when other financial institutions and professionals are perceived to be wavering. This achievement demonstrates the world-class ability and standing of professional institutions—a stark contrast when compared to the public sector. ActionSA views this exceptional performance as a beacon of hope in South Africa, where ethical governance and integrity-based practices are lacking, leading to deteriorating trust from both its people and local and international markets.
