This signifies a positive chapter that will reinforce efforts to fight crime and end corruption that is pervading our communities. General Mkhwanazi’s commitment to ending corruption is an exemplary and patriotic leadership.

All public servants should espouse a similar posture in order to fix South Africa. He is a light standing on a hill for millions of South Africans who are desperate to rebuild what has been systemically broken by beneficiaries of corruption.

It is through Lt Gen Mkhwanazi’s uncompromising leadership that South Africans ascertained the extent of our compromised criminal justice system. Today, the revelations coming from the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry reveals how drug cartels and senior government officials made this country their playground.

This is a well-deserved role that reflects the trust placed in his ability to serve and protect with integrity. ActionSA wishes him strength, wisdom, and success as he continues to work towards a safer and more secure society.
