The recount of 23 out of 210 constituencies in the election was due to take place on Saturday. It could overturn the biggest election defeat of President Robert Mugabe's ZANU-PF party, which lost control of parliament in the election.
"I can find no merit in the application, accordingly the application is dismissd with costs," High Court Judge Antonia Guvava said.
