The Young Communist league of South Africa (uFasimba) condemns the unnecessary murder of a talented young man in Tshwane. Nkosinathi Ntuli only aged 23 years of age apparently had a confrontation with the police who wanted him to stop. Whatever the reason might have been is does not justify the hasty manner in which police reacted.

There has been several cases where people have lost their lives to Men in Blue who are supposed to be protectors of our community. Such apartheid style brutality does not belong in the era of democracy. Police should not lose sight of the fact that they are Law enforcers and not Law makers.

We send our heart felt condolences as the YCLSA to the Ntuli family and to the ANCYL Montana Branch of which Nkosinathi was a member. We have lost potential and talent in such a young man who evidently had a bright future in his field.

We call upon the SAPS at national level to intervene and investigate this matter and further investigate other cases where people have been murdered by their members, such as the Menemela Brothers in June and Manguzi in Kwazulu Natal early July.

Police Officers are not a law unto themselves and they should respect citizens. We cannot accept such barbarism to continue when we claim to be a democratic society.
