Contrary to published reports in the July 2 Mail & Guardian, the formal process of diplomatic agrément- the United States' acceptance of the nomination of an ambassador-designate - has concluded between the United States and South Africa.
The United States has formally accepted the appointment of Ambassador-designate Ebrahim Rasool. We look forward to his arrival in Washington, D.C.
