The United Democratic Movement (UDM) welcomes the decrease in the crime rate in South Africa. This points to improved cooperation between communities and the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the fight against crime. It also shows that our people’s hard work to make South Africa a safe place is starting to pay dividends. However, more efforts are required to achieve further reductions in sexual offences and violent crimes.
