The United Democratic Movement (UDM) also congratulates Home Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma on her election as the new head of the African Union (AU) Commission. Dr Dlamini-Zuma is a strong leader and good administrator, who will add a lot of value to the Commission. Undoubtedly, her victory heralds a new era in the advancement of the African agenda in international politics.
However, it is a pity to lose a person of Dr Dlamini-Zuma’s calibre in our Cabinet at a time when South Africa faces a leadership crisis in many Government portfolios.
We wish her success in her new assignment.
