South Africans must forget about winning the fight against corruption in particular under the leadership of President Jacob Zuma. The United Democratic Movement is not surprised by the report of Minister of Police, Nhleko on the Nkandla saga. Indeed you can’t bite the hand that feeds you.

We are in fact vindicated in our view that the attempt by the Speaker of the Parliament, Baleka Mbete when she tried to create a committee to be briefed by the report before it was released, we refused this as but just a co-option of the opposition in order to legitimise this report.
This confirms that government celebrates corruption and crime and hold those suspected of wrong doing in high esteem, as role models and as heroes. This report exonerate President Zuma’s from taking responsibility and account for his unduly beneficiation from public funds.

It further opens a flood gate for all those who have already lined themselves for looting public money. One wonders, who else will ever be held accountable for unduly benefiting from the public purse.
However, South Africans have it in their hands to defend their own resources. They have a duty to defend their money, their country and freedom through democratic means and processes.
