Agliotti's case was postponed until July 2, when a trial date will be set, Thanda Mngwengwe, investigating director at the elite Scorpions crime-fighting unit, said on Tuesday.
"The matter was postponed by mutual agreement between the state and the defence to the second of July," he told reporters outside the Johannesburg Magistrates Court.
Agliotti faces charges of playing a role in the 2005 gangland-style murder of South African mining magnate Brett Kebble.
A copy of Selebi's indictment, made available to the media by the prosecuting authority, includes accusations he received payments from Agliotti.
Selebi has faced strong criticism since he admitted he and Agliotti were friends, but he has denied any wrongdoing.
Agliotti, wearing a suit, was relaxed as he appeared for the court session and chatted with reporters.
Selebi, who is due to appear in court on February 1, has been given extended leave by President Thabo Mbeki.
