The Inkatha Freedom Party in Indlovu District, Pietermaritzburg, and Kwa-Zulu Natal will on Sunday host a soccer tournament aimed to hearten the fight against elderly and children abuse which has taken a rapid increase.

In UMgungundlovu district alone, more than five grannies had been raped and numerous cases of child molestation and rape have been reported since the beginning of 2013.

“We have decided to host such a tournament as a way to encourage our youth and those who are unemployed not to find refuge in crime but rather invest their time in sports since sports is a perfect remedy to eradicate boredom and unite everyone,” said Cllr Mbongeni Madlala, IFP UMgungundlovu PR Councillor and Organiser.

DATE:  14 APRIL 2014 (SUNDAY)
TIME:    09:00AM
VENUE:  MBALI STAGE 2 SOCCER STADIUM
