To amend the Defence Act, 2002, so as to state who compromises the Military Command of the South African National Defence Force and to further regulate the appointment of its members; to require members of the Reserve Force contemplated in section 53(1) to enter into a contract of service with the Defence Force; to require members of the Reserve Force to comply with a call-up order to report for duty; and to establish the Defence Force Service Commission which is to make recommendations to the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans concerning conditions of service of members of the Defence Force; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
