The Statistician-General of South Africa, Mr Pali Lehohla, will release the Recorded live births, 2014 statistical release at a media briefing to be held on Tuesday, 01 September 2015. This document presents information on recorded live births in South Africa, based on data from the national birth registration system.
This statistical release also presents data on the number of registered live births, number of live births by age of the mother, and birth registration trends between 1994 and 2014, amongst others.
