For the third consecutive year, specialist international intellectual property law firm Spoor & Fisher has been recommended as a band 1 top-tier IP law firm in South Africa by Legal 500 Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Additionally, seven Spoor & Fisher lawyers have been recognised for their expertise –  Charles Webster, David Gilson, Eben van Wyk, Hugh Moubray, Jean McIvor, Lance Abramson and foreign counsel Kay Rickelman.

The Legal 500 analyses the capabilities of law firms across the world in over 100 jurisdictions. Based on a series of criteria, the recommendations highlight the practice area teams who provide the most cutting edge and innovative advice to corporate counsel.

Charles Webster, Partner and Chairperson of the Partnership said, “We are delighted to once again be recognised as a Tier 1 firm by The Legal 500 EMEA. The hatrick was made possible by our unwavering focus and commitment and tenacious pursuit of our clients’ best interests."

“The recommendation continues to underscore our leadership position in South Africa for intellectual property law,” Webster adds.

The Legal 500 Directory is an independent guide and firms and individuals are recommended purely on merit. The recommendations are based on feedback from over 250,000 clients worldwide and researched by a team who have unrivalled experience in the legal market.
