The President has, under section 3(1)(b) of the Special Investigating Units and Special Tribunals Act, 1996 (act No. 74 of 1996), with effect from 17 December 2011, appointed Nomvula Mokhatla as acting head of the Special Investigating Unit established by Proclamation No. R. 118 of 31 July 2011.
