I, Angelina Matsie Motshekga, Minister of Basic Education, after consultation with the Council of Education Ministers and in terms of sections 61(c) and (d) of the South African Schools Act, 1996 (Act. No. 84 of 1996), intend making regulations to prescribe a national curriculum statement, namely the National Curriculum Statement Grades R-12 comprising the following documents:
(a) Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements for all approved subjects;
