Bonginkosi Emmanuel Nzimande, Minister of Higher Education and Training after consultation with the National Skills Authority hereby issues a definition and criteria to classify an occupation as a trade and a list attached in the schedule for public comment on proposed occupations to be listed as trades for which artisan qualifications is required in terms of Section 26B of the Skills Development Act, 1998 (Act No. 97 of 1998). Also to be noted is that all trades currently designated should be verified for inclusion for listing in terms of Schedule 2A (4) of the SDA.
