The SACP notes the story carried on The Saturday Star today and various tittles of the Independent Group titled "Hani Killer to walk free".

The story seems to be a part of an ongoing systematic campaign by some to manipulate the emotions of the public on the matter of the parole of Mr Clive Derby-Lewis. We abhor this method of handling their application and a well pointed leaks even before official announcements could be made.

The SACP reiterates its objection to the granting of any parole to Clive Derby-Lewis unless he has fully disclosed all involved in the heinous assassination of our General Secretary, Cde Chris Hani. We will oppose any plans through any means available to us to grant this cold assassins parole.
