The South African Police Service has welcomed the findings of Auditor-General Terence Nombembe`s report. Media reports in this regard have also been noted.

The National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, General Riah Phiyega has taken cognisance of the outcomes of the report by the Auditor-General about the 10111 emergency call centres. Matters raised in the report are as a result of possible internal administrative omissions and the matter is being looked into. The Police Management has been tasked to interrogate the findings and prepare a comprehensive report to issues raised.

As SAPS we remain alert, responsible and committed to compliance with our policies and regulations. To this end the National Commissioner is urging all members to remain focussed on service delivery in accordance with our police prescripts.
