President Jacob Zuma paid a visit to former President Nelson Mandela at his residence in Qunu this evening, 2 October 2012, following the conclusion of his visit to Libode in the King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality to launch new schools.
Government is replacing 49 mud schools with modern state of the art schools to improve learning and teaching as part of the massive infrastructure roll-out plan.
"It is always wonderful to spend time with Madiba, I was able to update him on what is happening in the country. It is wonderful to find him in good spirits and so relaxed. I assured him of the love of all South Africans. I assure our people that Madiba is in very good health and comfortable. And he looks as handsome as ever", said President Zuma.
