The President of the Republic of South Africa, President Jacob Zuma, on behalf of the people and Government of the Republic of South Africa congratulates His Excellency Dr Ikililou Dhoinine on assuming the Presidency of the Union of Comoros.
President Zuma commends the people and government of the Union of Comoros for the steps taken in implementing a democratic transformation.
President Zuma also expressed his appreciation to the out-going President of the Union of Comoros, President Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi for the peaceful transfer of power following the December 2010 Presidential elections.
