The IFPYB has welcomed the verdict in the case of musician Molemo "Jub Jub"
Maarohanye with his co-accused Themba Shabalala who were found guilty on
four counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder of four school
children.
IFP Youth Brigade National Chairperson, Mkhuleko Hlengwa MP said "The
sentencing of this pair passes a strong message to those who abuse drugs and
alcohol, which can lead to such devastating fatalities"
"The IFPYB believes that anyone who is involved in killing of innocent
people due to their failure to obey traffic laws must be arrested. The IFPYB
cannot tolerate people who associate themselves with drug abuse" added
Hlengwa.
The IFPYB hopes that public personalities do not see themselves above the
law and we hope that a strong message has been sent that everyone is equal
before the law.
