President Jacob Zuma has appointed Mr Michael Hulley as his legal advisor in the Presidency with immediate effect.

Mr Hulley, who will perform this role on a part time basis, has rendered legal services to the President in the past and the Presidency welcomes the opportunity to engage his services in this broader capacity.

Mr Hulley will be the second legal advisor to the President, and will work with Advocate Bonisiwe Makhene who was seconded to the Presidency from the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development in 2009.

Mr Hulley expressed his gratitude at the opportunity to serve the President at this level.

“I am humbled by the appointment and look forward to making a meaningful contribution, in support of the President and the Presidency,’’ Mr Hulley said.
