While BUSA acknowledges that the planned protest by COSATU against E-tolling is protected, BUSA believes that the rule of law should be respected and those involved should and refrain from intimidation and violence. BUSA condemns the demolition of the e-toll gantries as being outside the recognized rules of engagement for protest action.

BUSA is concerned about the violence that has erupted recently during strikes and believes that such violence is bad for the reputation of the country and its economic outlook. We call on all those that will be partaking in tomorrow’s protest action to be responsible, should any violence erupt and property damaged, we call on call on Government to take strong action and for COSATU take responsibility and he held accountable.
