The IFP KZN Caucus has expressed its heartfelt condolences to the family and colleagues from all political parties of the KZN Legislature's Chair of Chairs and long-serving Member, Honourable SN Mthethwa, who passed away this morning.

"Honourable Mthethwa was a man of integrity whose personal touch in the management of KZN Legislature's portfolio committees in his capacity as the Chair of Chairs made the Provincial Legislature a better place," said Leader of the Official Opposition in KZN Blessed Gwala MPL.

"I have known the late SN Mthethwa for more than two decades since his involvement in the local politics near Empangeni on KZN's north coast prior to 1994 and I have always valued his convictions even as we often differed politically," said Gwala.

The Leader of the Official Opposition has confirmed his participation in the delegation from the KZN Legislature that will be paying a visit to Honourable SN Mthethwa's family today.
