Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga has extended her deepest condolences to the families of 18 passengers who died in a fatal bus accident at the weekend.
The Minister is saddened by the fatalities, which included a school principal and two learners, on their way from a school event on the R61 near Cradock in the Eastern Cape.
"Our hearts go out to the families of those who died, and we wish a speedy recovery to all the injured." The department will provide moral and trauma support counseling to the families of the deceased principal, and to learners of the affected school.
