The IFP is shocked to learn that the President of the country has allegedly
put out a hit on the ANC's former Youth League President, Mr Julius Malema.

"Mr Malema is clear in his written statement issued this week," said the
IFP's Mr Albert Mncwango MP, Spokesperson on Defence and Military Veterans.
Mnwango quoted the following lines from Malema's statement -

'Jacob Zuma is agitating soldiers and the police to. eliminate us from the
surface of this land. A death warrant has been issued. If we die tomorrow
and anytime soon, we would have been killed by Jacob Zuma. Jacob Zuma is
threatened by our presence in this world.'

Said Mncwango, "These are serious allegations against the President, who is
Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Force. The IFP urges the State's security
apparatus to investigate these allegations and determine whether our
country's President has really put out a hit on Malema, or whether the
President is wrongfully being labelled a murderer in the public domain.
Either way, this must be taken seriously."

The IFP believes that the outcome of these investigations must lead to
action being taken against the guilty party, whether that proves to be Mr
Malema or the President himself.
