SA signs agriculture MoU with Swaziland

South Africa’s Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the government of Swaziland signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, to collaborate on research, technology and capacity building.

Deputy director-general for agriculture production and food security Kgabi Mogajane told Engineering News Online the focus of the MoU would be on technology transfer, training, capacity building and research cooperation related to issues of food security.

“The MoU would also play a key role in enhancing and improving on bilateral relations, as well as addressing similar challenges in rural areas of both countries,” Mogajane explained at the African Ministerial Conference on climate-smart agriculture, in Johannesburg.
