Parliament, Thursday 24 November 2011 - The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) has
taken a decision to establish an ad hoc Committee to consider and report on the Protection
of State Information Bill, as referred and transmitted for concurrence by the National
Assembly on Tuesday, 22 November 2011.

A resolution establishing the ad hoc Committee will be announced by the Chief Whip of the
NCOP during the sitting of the NCOP scheduled for 14.00 today, 24 November.

The resolution establishing the ad hoc Committee will outline the representation of political
parties and the time frames for reporting on the Bill.
