I have considered ail the evidence carefully and have concluded that there are no substantial and compelling circumstances which justify the imposition of a lesser sentence than the prescribed minimum. Counsel for the state urged that a sentence in excess of the minimum sentence be imposed. I disagree. Regard being had to all the aforegoing I am satisfied that a sentence of 15 years imprisonment is an appropriate sentence in the present matter. A sentence of 15 years imprisonment is not disproportionate to the crime and the needs of society, so that an injustice would be done by imposing that sentence.
In the result the accused is sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment.
